I adore Natalie Wood. She was so beautiful, with such a sad life and such a mysterious death. I love this quote about her, although unfortunately I can't find who said it - just that it was apparently a director: "She was very smart. She read a book a week and had a wicked sense of humor. She was just adorable -- one of the few movie stars I've met who was really worthy of that title."

Now those are some sexy legs. Wow1
ReplyDeleteI love Natalie Wood! This Property is Condemned and Splendor in the Grass. . . sigh!
ReplyDeleteShe was so gorgeous, wasn't she? I just watched West Side Story with my students and they all talked about how beautiful she was. I love this feature!!
ReplyDeleteLove her, gorgeous. But ultimately a tragic life, such a waste.
ReplyDeleteSooo beautiful and very talented. I was actually just thinking of that scene in Splendor in the Grass when she has to read Wordsworth in class and she's breaking down - brings me to tears every time.
ReplyDeleteLove those black and white pictures!
ReplyDeleteMissie - Aren't they amazing?! She was so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteApril - I haven't seen This Property is Condemned, I'll have to check it out!
Sarah - She is so lovely in that movie. One of my faves!
Kate - Totally agree. Her death in particular is eerily tragic - she was always afraid of dark water and then drowned at night. :-(
Stephanie - That scene is heartbreaking! She was amazing. I totally want to watch that movie again now.
Nic - Aren't they great?! The one with the feathery dress is my fave :)
These pictures are stunning!
ReplyDeleteI love the monkey one.. ;)
